At an event in Chile last September, four women who had landed on a corporate counsel power list noticed that female lawyers were underrepresented in the rankings.
Only about a third of the Chilean general counsel recognized on the list were women, whereas, in nearby Argentina and Colombia, female general counsel accounted for about half of their country lists.
