The Paris Court of Appeal has established a section dedicated to disputes on duty of vigilance and ecological responsibility, an acknowledgment of the growth, importance and complexity of climate litigation, lawyers told Law.com International.
The new chamber will take up disputes relating to the publication of sustainability information by companies as prescribed by the new European Union directive on corporate responsibility and due diligence, which is moving toward approval by June of this year.
