A former Kasowitz Benson Torres partner, Jay Deshmukh, filed suit Tuesday against the firm, alleging that it owes him $264,000 in compensation after his employment was terminated a month short of his one-year mark.

In a statement Wednesday, a Kasowitz Benson spokesperson said the firm paid “him generously” during a time he was unproductive in revenue and “the firm owes him nothing.”
