Trowers & Hamlins has announced the launch of a new India desk in the latest example of international law firms seizing on new opportunities as India eases entry to foreign law firms.

The desk will be led by Oman-based senior associate Debopam Dutta, who has more than a decade of experience working on the ground in India and on international India-facing transactions out of Singapore, London and Tokyo, according to a statement by the firm.
