As a new generation of lawyers shifts its thinking around career goals, more than a few attorneys have left their Big Law jobs behind to tap into the middle market. Now, two new firms created out of this impulse share one problem: There’s more demand than either can swallow.

Although both Miami-based Pack Law and Texas and Florida-based SMB Law Group differ in several ways, the founding impetus behind both firms shows a personal desire for more control over work and a need to fill market gaps.
