Perkins Coie is laying off 58 business professionals across the firm, citing macroeconomic conditions as well as increased expenses in staffing that have exceeded an acceptable level for the firm.
In an internal memo obtained by Law.com, firm managing partner Bill Malley said the firm had “significantly expanded” its business professional ranks in the previous several years but the downshift in legal work in 2023 had made their current position untenable.
