Despite a slowdown in demand nationwide, most midsize Southeast law firms followed their counterparts nationally and increased their lawyer head count in 2022.
And several midsize firm leaders said they are anticipating future head count growth, seeking opportunities in areas such as cybersecurity, litigation, employment law and intellectual property based on the “pressing needs” of clients.
