Just as law firms are navigating their own internal policies on AI, so too are clients, prompting an uptick in demand for legal advice that several large firms are preparing to meet. Widespread demand has prompted large firms to launch AI client practices, develop new products for clients or hire more talent with a technical background.
And while AI isn’t new to some law firms, especially those with roots in the tech sector, several firm leaders and lawyers agree ChatGPT has been a catalyst for an explosion of demand that isn’t limited to tech companies or upstarts developing AI technology.
