Latham & Watkins has hired DLA Piper leader and M&A dealmaker Joe Alexander, as the second-highest-grossing firm in the Am Law 200 continues to invest in a corporate group that drove 70% of its almost $5.5 billion in revenue in 2021.
Alexander joined the firm as a corporate partner in New York, according to a Monday announcement. He said in a statement he was drawn to Latham’s “dynamic” capabilities and “leading” corporate practice, which in 2021 touched roughly 4,600 deals worth a combined $3 trillion in value.
