A former New York state senator who’s under investigation by the Empire State’s 2-year-old ethics watchdog is arguing through his attorneys that the panel should be declared unconstitutional and his sexual misconduct investigation should be shelved.
Ex-state Sen. Jeffrey Klein’s civil complaint, filed in state Supreme Court of Albany County on Wednesday, is framed around former Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s thus far successful lawsuit against the New York State Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government.
