A New Jersey judge has ruled that the chief justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court won’t have to testify in a suit by a former jurist who says she was wrongly denied disability benefits.

Mercer County Superior Court Judge William Anklowitz quashed former judge Deborah Gross-Quatrone’s subpoena of Chief Justice Stuart Rabner after finding that the information sought from the chief justice might be available from another source.
