The Manhattan judge who oversaw former President Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial need not recuse himself from the case, the New York Attorney General’s Office argued in new court papers.
“Throughout this case, Defendants have engaged in spurious efforts to avoid accountability for their fraudulent and illegal business conduct by seeking to delegitimize this proceeding and attacking the Court’s impartiality and integrity,” reads the motion filed late Wednesday.
