The New York judge overseeing Donald Trump’s civil fraud case ruled on Thursday he will not recuse himself following an “unpleasant” encounter with a third-party lawyer who has alleged ex parte communications about the case.
“I am supremely confident in my ability to continue to serve, as I always have, impartially,” Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron wrote.
