After 11 years in the role, Mary Beth Hogan will step down as co-chair of Debevoise & Plimpton’s litigation department at the end of this month. She will be replaced by Jyotin (Joe) Hamid, a longtime partner who currently chairs the firm’s employment litigation practice and sits on its managing committee.
Hamid will join existing litigation co-chair Andrew Ceresney, who has been in the role since returning to the firm in 2017 after a stint as enforcement director of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
