The social media platform X announced over the weekend that it is shuttering its Brazilian operations after tensions escalated with Brazil’s Supreme Court.
The company is engaged in a standoff with the court that stems from attempts by Brazil Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes to crack down on misinformation and hate speech on social media platforms in the country.
