An advisory opinion from a New Jersey ethics panel has shed light on the ethical duties of attorneys advising public bodies on how to cope with a rogue board member.

The unpublished decision in case 07-2024 from the Advisory Committee on Professional Ethics (ACPE) says the state Supreme Court’s Disciplinary Review Board (DRB) erred in October 2023 when it recommended discipline for an Ocean County school board attorney.
