FILE – In this Nov. 21, 1981 file photo, Weather Underground member Katherine Boudin is led from Rockland County Courthouse in New City, New York, by sheriff’s officers. Boudin, a former member of the radical Weather Underground, spent more than two decades in prison for her role in a fatal 1981 armored truck robbery and then spent decades helping other inmates. The outlook for Adeel Mangi’s nomination for a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit seemed to get bleaker with the announcement that a Democratic senator opposes his candidacy.

U.S. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada has said she won’t vote for Mangi based on his affiliation with a group that advocates for incarcerated people.
