Even as deal activity remains slower, M&A work for biotech and healthcare companies is providing a significant lift for some large law firms now, with the latest examples including three multi-billion deals announced in the last week.
About a dozen law firms landed on those deals, which included Merck agreeing to acquire Prometheus Biosciences Inc.; TPG Capital and AmerisourceBergen going forward with a purchase of OneOncology; and GlaxoSmithKline agreeing to acquire BELLUS Health Inc.
