M&A deal announcements are still arriving at a slow pace, with only four deals over the $1 billion mark reported in the last week and none over $2 billion.
But other areas of deal work showed signs of life. There were five SPAC combinations (a weekly high for 2023) and eight debt offerings over $500 million, led by mainstays Davis Polk & Wardwell, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Latham & Watkins and Jones Day, each of which was involved in at least two of the debt offerings listed below.
