Allen & Overy and Clifford Chance have advised a host of financial players in what is believed to be the first ever issuance of a digital bond using a hybrid combination of a public and private blockchain.
The £50-million, two-year bond was priced on Wednesday and will now be issued by the European Investment Bank, with BNP Paribas, HSBC and RBC Capital Markets acting as custodians for investors.
