Baker McKenzie partners in three countries helped guide Spanish energy giant Iberdrola’s agreement to sell much of its operations in Mexico to a Mexican government-sponsored fund for $6 billion.
Iberdrola has operated under enormous pressure in Mexico since President Andrés Manuel López Obrador took office in 2018 determined to diminish private investment in the country’s energy sector.
