Am Law 100 firm Cooley is facing a lawsuit accusing the firm of legal malpractice in Miami.
The lawsuit, filed by Miami-based clinical testing company Genetic Networks, accuses two Cooley attorneys assigned to handle an agreement for the company of missing some paperwork. The lawsuit also claims that the two attorneys assigned to handle the paperwork, partner Alfred Browne and then-associate Heather Harrington, were not licensed in Florida despite the agreement’s jurisdiction being in Florida.
