The Connecticut Supreme Court reversed a trial court’s ruling that a noncompete was unenforceable simply because the agreement’s only consideration was continued employment. The court also clarified what constitutes a misappropriation of trade secrets.

The high court’s 91-page opinion stems from the underlying dispute that alleged the defendants misappropriated the trade secrets of Dur-A-Flex Inc., a developer and manufacturer of commercial and industrial flooring and polymer component materials.
