A wave of ailing large companies is giving the French legal market a timely lift— not just in restructuring, but also in M&A and litigation, Paris-based lawyers tell Law.com International.

With M&A activity in a rut, these multibillion-euro French companies in need of restructuring, some of which recently saw their pandemic-era financial support end, are providing a supply of deals and other work to keep law firms busy. They’re expected to do so well into 2024, these lawyers said.
