Former Twitter chief privacy officer Damien Kieran is set to step down from his role as general counsel of Paris-based photo-sharing app BeReal following its €500 million acquisition by another French tech group.

Kieran joined BeReal in February last year, having held the role of chief privacy officer and deputy general counsel at Twitter until Elon Musk’s controversial takeover of the company, resigning along with several other lawyers at the time.
