Two small Manhattan law firms are merging, creating a 35-attorney firm that will focus on construction law, finance, real estate, and commercial litigation, among other practices. The merger is the latest combination involving small firms in the U.S., amid an uptick in firm mergers this year.

Goetz Fitzpatrick and Platzer, Swergold, Goldberg, Katz & Jaslow said they are merging to form a New York law firm named Goetz Platzer, effective Jan. 1, 2025. Law.com has learned the combined firm revenue would be around $20 million.
