Eight U.S., U.K. and Italian firms are advising on the €8 billion purchase of Vodafone Italia by Swisscom, the latest in a series of recent M&A megadeals in European telecommunications.
Swisscom, which is majority-owed by the Swiss government, announced Friday that it had concluded the deal and intends to merge Vodafone Italia into its own Italian subsidiary, Fastweb.
